Hammer time

Kids and their parents filled every inch of aisle 20 in Lowes on Lake Underhill Road during the last Kids Clinic, where parents bring their children for a biweekly, free activity. The East Orlando Lowes is one of the busiest in the region with 150 kids attending each clinic. Every child gets an apron, which they fill with a new badge for each clinic they complete, safety goggles and a hammer. “They always make something they can take home with them,” said Store Manager Art Lucas. The next clinic is at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23.
