OCTOBERFEST: Enjoy a beer garden for adults from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 at Avalon Park’s Octoberfest. The free family event continues from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, and 1 p.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, with German music from Europa, Alpine dancing by Schuhplattler Gruppe Alpenrose, Magic Curtain Productions performances, a root beer garden for kids, games and contests.

SIDEWALK FESTIVAL: Enjoy live music, shop gently used items and enjoy food from a hot-dog stand and baked goods at Tunes, Treasures and Treats, a sidewalk festival benefitting Orlando Music Club, a group of music teachers who raise money for young musicians. DOGS COMPETE: Doglando Foundation's third annual Doglympics is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 through Sunday, Nov. 6 in downtown Avalon Park. Any breed dog can compete in companion events like wiener dog races, mutt races, longest stay, Luciano Pavarotti Commemorative Sing-Off, agility, ball toss and more.
