Ewing Medical Office Building, a three-story professional office building going up right next door, 11 live/work units taking shape in a row and the just-opened Fairwinds Credit Union.

Emma O’Halloran is the sort of girl who’s always had a soft spot for creatures who suffer: little kids with cancer, adults without homes, or elderly people without visitors. The Avalon Elementary fifth-grader comes by it honestly. Little Emma was always next to her mother, Linda, serving up soup to the homeless or making gift baskets for disabled children.
